Licensed coach — individual player development

Coach

Lazar Živković

Lazar Živković is an individual basketball coach working with players in Trstenik, Vrnjačka Banja, Kraljevo, Kruševac, Kragujevac, Jagodina and surrounding towns in Serbia — and, by arrangement, anywhere else in Serbia and abroad. He coaches at KK Trstenik and is a former Basketball League of Serbia (KLS) player with professional experience in Spain. Sessions are one-on-one and fully tailored to the player: their goals, age and current level.

Lazar Živković is a licensed basketball coach at KK Trstenik, specializing in individual player development. Before coaching he played professionally in the Basketball League of Serbia (KLS) for KK Beovuk 72 from Belgrade, where he was team captain, and KK Konstantin from Niš, and also played abroad in Spain for CB Ontinyent.

Throughout his career he took part in numerous basketball camps in Serbia and abroad, including the YUBAC basketball camp, Europe Basketball Academy in Barcelona and a showcase camp in Trieste, Italy, where he played two years in a row.

Through clubs, camps and individual training he has worked with many well-known basketball coaches, including Marin Sedlaček, Zoran Sretenović, Blagota Sekulić, Miša Lakić, Miodrag Bojković and others.

He also had the opportunity to attend Željko Obradović's practices at Panathinaikos, at the time when Mike Batiste, Dimitris Diamantidis and Šarūnas Jasikevičius played for the team. He also attended Mega Vizura practices led by Dejan Milojević, at the time when players such as Nikola Jokić, Vasilije Micić, Boban Marjanović and Novica Veličković trained with the team.

He now brings that experience to the court: he knows what it takes for a player to improve and how to adapt that path to each individual — from technical fundamentals to lifelong habits.

What we work on

Game skills

Individual training is extra work outside group practice. The player focuses on exactly what they need — shooting technique, ball handling, finishing, one-on-one play and reading the game — so progress comes faster than when the same skills are learned only in a large group.

Shooting

Shooting mechanics and consistency, shooting on the move and off the dribble, free throws and repetition until it becomes automatic.

Ball handling

Working with both hands, changes of direction and pace, protecting the ball under defensive pressure.

Finishing

Left- and right-hand layups, finishing through contact, floaters and play around the rim.

One-on-one

The first step, reading the defender and making the right decision — shot, drive or pass.

Footwork and balance

Stance, pivoting, stops and moving without the ball — the foundation of every skill.

Defense and basketball IQ

One-on-one defense, positioning and understanding game situations.

Where we train

Serbia and abroad

Based in Trstenik, Lazar Živković regularly runs individual basketball sessions in Trstenik, Vrnjačka Banja, Kraljevo, Kruševac, Kragujevac, Jagodina and the towns around them. By arrangement he also travels to other cities in Serbia and abroad. Sessions are held in English or Serbian. Players choose what suits them best:

The coach comes to you

Individual training in your city — in the region, anywhere in Serbia or abroad. Time, court and travel are arranged when booking.

You come to Trstenik

Sessions in Trstenik, single or several days in a row — with accommodation and meals arranged for players who want more intensive work.

Multi-day stay

Accommodation and meals

Players who want to come to Trstenik for more intensive individual development and stay for several days can have accommodation and meals arranged. That way they can focus fully on training, without travelling every day.

A multi-day stay is a good opportunity for players from other cities who want to fit more sessions into a short period and make visible progress — for example during the school holidays.
